Grand Opening Set For Friday, August 31st 2012

August 31, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

JAVA-GOURMET Announces Grand Opening of Retail Location, With All 3 Product Lines Now Under One Roof August 31, 2012 - Penn Yan, NY, USA -

JAVA-GOURMET announces the Grand Opening of their first local retail store on August 31st, during the 2012 Labor Day holiday weekend. The new retail location will feature products from all three of their product lines: JAVA-GOURMET, Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters, and the Seneca Salt Company division. Other complimentary gourmet products will be featured, such as gourmet items that have been discovered at Fancy Food Shows attended by owners Susan Atkisson and Brian Friguliette throughout the year.

The new JAVA-GOURMET store will feature signature products that will only be available to gourmet consumers at their store location. These unique products will focus on fuss-free, ready to eat artisanal creations with the unique and creative flavor blends JAVA-GOURMET customers have come to expect. In addition to the opportunity to finally view all of the company's products in one place, customers will be able to sample the exclusive gourmet offerings at no charge. Company President Susan Atkisson explains, "We've received repeated requests from our customers over the past 8 years to open a retail location. With 3 product lines and over 60 products currently in production, it has been impossible for our gourmet customers to select from all our products at one time, until now."

Other gourmet products offered in the new store have been hand selected by the owners from other small batch companies like JAVA-GOURMET and are predominately New York State producers, woman owned companies or businesses which are socially responsible in their communities. Atkisson explains, "We support businesses which are socially active in their home communities, as we are in ours with our support of Milly's Pantry and their Food for the Needy and Backpack Programs and our local Shelter of Hope, Yates County Humane Society". Special coffees produced by Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters to benefit these local organizations will also be available for purchase in the store.

The new store's Grand Opening Celebration will feature exciting opportunities for visitors, including a chance to win a Passport for Two to the Keuka Lake Wine Trail, along with a gift basket of the company's exclusive products. Also featured will be the art of Nancy Fobert, who was commissioned to paint the original watercolor for the company's Seneca Salt label. Nancy Fobert is also an accomplished mixed media metal artist who uses tin ceiling tiles as canvases to create her unique and beautiful pieces. Atkisson states, "We think people will really love the store. It will be rustic, with a nice eclectic mix of interesting and artistic design elements.... we think something a little 'funky' and different for the area."

Initial hours will be Fridays and Saturdays, 11am - 5pm and Sundays 11am-4pm. Additionally, select Mondays, including Labor Day, will offer open hours from 10am - 3pm. The new store address is 2792 Route 54A, just north of Merritt Hill Road, in Penn Yan.
